You know what? AGE and RATINGS aren't the only things to be considered in the trade either. You are right but this trade is one of those you look at and go wow thats crazy to do thats all but all im saying is if we allow trades like this there is no point to having the BOA even vote on trades vuz in that case every trade should pass

I agree with LAA. If this trade passes, we shouldn't have a BOA. If this trade passes, I want a serious explanation as to why my trade for Mark Prior was veto'd. That trade was a lot closer than this trade.

You guys are looking past the main aspects of the deal, Detroit is getting a player who will be available for him right now and he apparently wanted a SS, I am receiving a prospect who won't be ready for 4-5 years. I wanted to improve my prospects system, he wanted a player he could play now

I am vetoing. If Royce Clayton was anywhere near decent I would approve, because it would be a now-for-later deal. However, his best rating is a 52...Wilkin Ramirez is too high a price for Royce Clayton. sorry.

I will give him
SS Royce Clayton LF Cody Ross(4.0)
for
3B Wilkin Ramirez(4.0)
I don't really need Outfield prospects, and Detroit gets a decent contact hitter for the future added in

then I approve and put the deal through, unless the commissioner deems a re-vote necessary.

By the way Boss works, I'm going to ask that you put this in another thread, that way he knows what trade needs to be processed, or at least have Detroit modify his original post

That one would be fine. But yeah, make a new thread and have Detroit accept it.

I'll approve it. Same reasoning as the NYY deal. He could obviously get more, but didn't. If I vetoed every deal I thought was foolish there wouldnt be many trades going through. I'm actually glad we have a BOA because with the amount of trades that I've seen being straight up crap, this league would already be unbalanced as all hell. I attribute that to not requiring the game hence younger/unstable/not as committed GMs joining. But yes I approve.

The only reason I did this one is because I need a filler for Guillen...if it's gonna start a bunch of crap then never mind

Not to sound like a pain, but this trade really doesn't make much sense for you. Arias is just as good, if not better than Clayton. You also have Jeff Kent in your farm system. You could call him up and play Infante at SS. This trade just really looked like a complete ripoff.
